It is with a very heavy heart that I try to find the words to convey my sorrow at the death of Adam Cramb. I cannot help that my message is personal because Adam reached everyone on a personal level. Adam was an artist in the true sense….his passion showed in his work. His 2D, 3D and fibre arts were creative, inventive, curious, evocative, sensual, brave and often humorous. His work challenged me to see a subject in a new way. Adam was a prolific contributor to the local art scene, but more than that he was a lovely man. He was generous with both time and spirit and above all a great listener. His memory will always be a beacon to remind me to make art for the sake of art and to challenge myself to be authentic. I will personally miss Adam and I think that the arts in Powell River will want for Adam’s flash of neon. The Malaspina Arts Society website will be hosting a virtual gallery in tribute to Adam and would appreciate receiving images of Adam’s artwork (with the owner’s permission of course). Please send images to Giovanni at email@example.com Stay safe, and look after each other LornaBelow, Adam’s poster for his solo show at Malaspina Exhibition Centre, in 2018.
