MAS News

We are looking for some additional folks to assist us with planning and activating the 2021 Studio Tour.  For obvious reasons we are looking at a virtual option as well as safe in-person tours.
Thanks to Resiliency Funding from BC Arts Council we are able to consider this. [For a great example of a virtual component, please view Sidney BC’s virtual artists tour at (programs) or click here]. Please email us at by April 8  if you are interested in assisting us.

Let us know the best time to connect with you as a zoom call will be arranged for the following week. In particular we are looking for assistance with coordinating the filming, communicating safety protocols, and delivering signage, but there are lots of other tasks involved! A call to artists will be put out by the committee as soon as dates and pricing are finalized.
Thanks for your continued support

MAS News – BC Arts Council Funding

The Malaspina Art Society thanks the BC Arts Council for $18K in funding through the Arts & Culture Resilience Supplement program. These funds are allowing us to plan programs for 2021 that will be safe and to provide online alternatives.

MAS relies on membership fees, grants, and donations to provide workshops, support an annual qathet Region Studio Tour, host exhibitions, and maintain our communications. 2020 has been challenging on many fronts and the Resilience Supplement will assist us in adapting to a changing cultural environment.

We will be hosting a virtual AGM in the near future to discuss our vision for 2021.
Become a new member of MAS or renew your membership for 2021 today. If you are interested in assisting us to move forward, please consider joining our Board of Directors. Contact us at or use the contact form at

Thank you,
